AKWA IBOM STATE LAW STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION (Nationwide) is a forum of law graduates from Akwa Ibom State, with so many of its members being enlisted for admission into the Nigerian Law School.
We particularly commend the zeal and passion of our dear Governor, His Excellency (Deacon) Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for excellence, and this is evidently manifested in his success at turning the state's academic institutions to spheres of excellence.
We are earnestly pleading and appealing His Excellency to provide subventions for Law school students of the State. Some of our members risk losing out on their admission due to their inability to afford the school's tuition fee this year, which is within the region of N300, 000 per person, if steps are not urgently taken to provide them with subventions.
We intend to conduct a 100-person peaceful March on Wednesday, the 8th day of January, 2020. The purpose of the peaceful march is to request the urgent intervention of the state government in the Law school funding of students of Akwa Ibom State extraction.
We are confident that His Excellency, being a man with a good heart and passion for growth and excellence, will look compassionately into the plights of the Akwa Ibom state's Law Students.
We encourage all Law graduates of Akwa Ibom State from the 18 chapters Nationwide to be a part of this Solidarity March.
