The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has on Thursday de-registered 74 political parties in the country.
TheGiant reports that prior to the process, Nigeria had a total of 91 political parties.
But a review of the political parties was carried out after the 2019 general elections to see parties that qualify to exist and this led to disqualification of some parties.
The political parties that survived the process include the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and others.
