The general overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has on Saturday, February 15, 2020, disclosed that he is planning to build a new church auditorium with a whooping sum of N13 billion and another N560 million to be expended on new chairs
Pastor Bakare who is widely known during the presidential campaign when Muhammed Buhari named him as the vice presidential candidate under the CPP in 2011.
Pastor Tunde Bakare was a former pastor in the Deeper Life Bible Church and the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG).
The Pastor move to spend such amount of money on chairs has generated a lot of heat among church leaders. Some have come openly to criticised the pastor for planning using such amount of money on chairs.
Adeola Ilori, one of the church members who go against the Pastor’s plan said people have known Pastor Bakare for his anti-corruption campaign and it will now be of great fear for the same man of God using such amount on ordinary chairs and that truly amount to corruption in house of thee Lord.
