A Senior lecturer in the University of Calabar, Dr Paul Okon-Inyang have been selected as the only Nigerian to represent his father land at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Italy. 

"International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) has been a driving force behind global efforts to advance scientific expertise in the developing world".

"ICTP seeks to accomplish its mandate by providing scientists from developing countries with the continuing education and skills that they need to enjoy long and productive careers".

Dr. Paul, his an erudite scholar with a clear cut objective to build and recognised agricultural science model to the safety and sustenance of the environment.

Okon-Inyang, also served in the capacity as the HOD, 2018-2019 in the Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Wildlife Resource Management, University of Calabar, Calabar on his safe arrival in Italy this day 20th February 2020 he briefed newsmen on his appointment and key objective in the holy land of Italy. 

"I arrived the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy as a Senior Associate of the Centre for Research and i trust this will advance the Nigeria scientific orientation".

"My objective in Italy is to carry out research on how best to develop the study of Soil Physics and Earth systems science in Nigeria and entire West African Subregion...  "To look for linkages, develop curricular, find international sponsors, review and get some textbooks and journal manuscripts emanating from developing countries ready for publication in different fora".

"As a Senior Associate I am helping younger Scientists in my area to stand their feet, accept and respond to their inquiries, and most importantly come back as a resource person to organize Workshops or College on Soil Physics to boost the study of Soil Physics and Physical Processes in West Africa or Africa as a whole".

He added, "It's not a mean mandate"...

Continuing, "If it is possible to gather support to establish a sub regional office of ICTP with regional funding that will be great. "It is an international mandate without limitations but serious restrictions to Soil Physics, Earth Systems Science and Climate".

Paul, plead for good prayers from friends, families, colleagues, students and loves once.

"Even though am in very holy Catholic land (Italy) where the Pope is also living remember me in your prayers" He ended.
