One of the most Discussed Issue in Oyo and its environs some Month ago is the Akesan Market Inferno which led to the destruction of many Properties, Cash and claim Life of an Individual. The Incidence  occurred in the early month of January this Year and has raises a lot of Sympathy,Pity,Concern and Support from individuals from all Walks of Life,The Rich,Poor,Politician and Notable Organization visited the Town in order to Sympathize with the Market Men and Women as well as His Imperial Majesty Oba(Dr)Lamidi Adeyemi Atanda. The Scenario makes Oyo to receive influential Individuals from all Corners of the Cosmos.

However, we should have to assert it expressly that ever since the Scenario Occurred,not to Much Changes had been made to Reinstate Akesan back to its status.

It will be recalled that when the Governor came during the period,he lay an emphasis on building an Ultra Modern Market in Akesan with a lot of Expectations here and there from the masses thinking that Water can be Conjure out of stones nothing has change in exception of Bulldozing the entire structure and clearing the debris. Till the Present day,nothing has change. The question I ask my self day in day out is that is Our Governor giving us an Audio Promises full of Fallacy and Illusive myth or there are things being attach to the delay in rebuilding the market to what he promise the People of Oyo Town. Be that' as it may,Everything rise and fall on the leader so I believe that our Leaders aren't doing well to regain the lost Glory of Akesan Market. We are approaching the rainy season,what should be the faith of our people in Akesan? Akesan Market is an home to all and to that extent,we shouldn't take the issue with levity hands.

To stress further,I stand as a Political activist,dogged iconic and a Social Crusader in registering my disgruntled mind on the present status quo of Akesan. As I will aptly asserted that am a Jingoist to Oyo Town and as such I won't mind whose Ox is gored. The dilapidated and stagnant condition of Akesan Market is what each and everyone in Oyo town should take as been Paramount. There are issues which have to be addresses if Akesan has to regain back its status Quo. To start with, I could recalled one of the unfortunate Speech that Barrister Niyi Akintola uttered the last time he came to Oyo by asserting that the state government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde doesn't have the constitutional right to rebuild Akesan. As sound as the idea could be,the Legal Luminary should probably have shed more light on who has the right to Rebuild Akesan Market. It will be apposite to ask if its the word of the Legal Luminary that makes the Governor not to interfere again or the Power that be has done something underneath.

Its High time our Iyaloja come to the Public and let's understand the Present status quo of Akesan Market and the way Forward. To whom much is given,much is expected. You have been saddled the responsibility to steer the affairs of the Market for Donkey Years,we want to know what and what have been put in place to bring Akesan back and restored its Glory. Your silent isn't Golden this Period Ma.Beyond misconception and misinterpretation of my Diction,we all know how bad u felt when the Scenario occur and there may be some moves you making silently which might be unknown to the Public but its but enough than to give an Upto date analysis on where the work gets to. We wish to ask if all the Relief materials that the Minister for Youths and Sports bring sometimes ago has been used accordingly and judiciously. Just like a Son asking her Mother a Vital Information so do I ask you Ma.

In Furtherance to the Above,if truly the assertion of VOX POPULI,VOX DEI(Voice of People is Voice of God) still exist,we should ask the Money being donated to the Akesan Relief Committee on what and what it has been used for?Was it used to clear the Debris or for another things more important that the masses doesn't know? Oyo People deserve some response from our Fathers who has been saddled the responsibility to bring back Akesan to its greatest height again. Just like a Son demanding an information from his Father so do I demand for this from our Fathers.

Also,it will be apposite to appreciate the frantic efforts by all Political office holders in Oyo for their indefatigable efforts toward reinstating Akesan Back to its normalcy. However, your best hasn't  been enough. The People of your constitutent want a Feasible Efforts. Just like a Constituent asking the Representative of his constituency that when will the Rebuilding of Akesan Market start? Is it Politics as usual or you mean Business? Akesan market goes beyond playing politics,we need a swift response and work to commence on it as a Matter of urgency regardless of your political affiliation.

More so, its high time we seek to understand that writing alone can't solve Akesan market debacle. It goes beyond that,it requires Physical efforts. Fighting can never and will never be a Yardstick of bringing back the lost Glory of Akesan,we need a Physical activities, if it demand a Peaceful Demonstration so be it,if it demand using the Press to show our grievances we are on the right track for if we didn't do anything to  this history might not be fair to us.Its high time we come together regardless of Personal Interest,Party affiliation and sentiment to work for a Bright and New Oyo Town.
