The Secretary to the Cross River State Government, Barr. Tina Banku Agbor has urged the good people of Cross River State to emulate the principles of Jesus Christ whose death is being merry globally, and never be lugubrious in this global scourge pandemic as codenamed, Covid-19.

Barr. Tina hinted that “Easter is a season of sacrifice; of circumscribing one’s interest, desires and needs for causes that are greater than ours; it also symbolizes victory over the forces of hatred, betrayal, anger and vile temperaments. No one epitomises this selfless quality than our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”.

She encouraged the citizens to gear their steadfastness with God in this pandemic scourge. “The global pandemic, “Corona virus” should bring humanity nigh to God, to seek for his mercy and gracious intervention. “I stimulate you with Christ hope and faith never to be dispirits nor pessimistic with fear for Christ has risen and given us an excellent spirit of Faith and Victory to combat all bug’s and affliction’s. Indeed, And this too will pass away, behold, new things have come,” In assurance of the Holy Book on; 2 Corinthians 5:17.

She further advised the citizens to obey the Cross River State Government personal hygiene directive’s at this perilous time to safeguard residents. She said, “I urge you all to undertake in the State Government directives on the covid-19 healthy measures: Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub, Avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell, Self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell and also, heed to the Nose Mask Movement policy to safeguard our wellbeing adding that, the government protect you and you protect us”.

Barr Tina Banku Agbor, admonished the people further to consistently pray for the Cross River State Government. She therefore exercise the opportunity to wish the people healthy Easter holiday and celebration.

She said, “I impulse you as always to continue to pray for us and support Governor Ben Ayade determined efforts to use our resources to build an industrial economy. “May our actions beginning from this Easter celebrations and beyond inspire us to love more, live healthy, be more united and do more to advance the interest of the great and wonderful people of Cross River State”.
